📋 Description

• Support design development, project engineering, plan reviews, owner’s engineer engagements, and construction for photovoltaic, high-voltage, substation, and grid-scale BESS projects • Serve as the structural design subject matter expert • Review structural plans and evaluate bases of design, economical construction alternatives, and structural solutions • Perform quality control and assurance assessments • Provide technical guidance on pile load testing, LPile analysis, foundations, concrete and steel design, corrosion, and costing • Support early-stage foundation design options for project estimating • Collaborate with external engineering vendors on conceptual foundation design approaches and tools • Review preliminary structural designs and geotechnical reports • Support Owner’s Engineer engagements, procurement, vendor coordination, proposals, and reviews • Provide technical input, design solutions, deliverable reviews, and value-engineering recommendations • Review structural calculations, studies, RFIs, and design packages for code, standards, specifications, and AHJ conformance • Conduct site visits, root-cause analyses, Job Site Assessments, and safety walks • Coordinate with high-voltage and project engineers on project schedules • Maintain a foundation-design database and analyze design evolution and material impacts • Draft and update structural specifications and verify calculations and recommendations in construction documents • Troubleshoot construction and operations issues and develop repair/remediation options • Support innovation product reviews related to structural design • Develop tools, guidance, and training for engineering staff • Serve as SME for complex structural engineering reviews • Improve internal design-review and QA processes • Contribute to growth planning, process-improvement task forces, and strategic initiatives • Develop structural concept-design and estimating tools • Support field design issues and escalate to external engineering when needed

🎯 Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent technical field • 10+ years of professional experience in structural engineering • 5+ years of experience with PV and Battery Energy Storage System design and WTG foundation design and/or 2+ years of experience with HV Substation and Overhead Line design • Field experience with structural, civil, geotechnical, and/or design-build construction • Experience with structural engineering standards and codes in the US • Proficiency with Microsoft Office • PE or SE qualifications, or on track to become qualified (plus qualification) • Master’s degree in structural engineering (plus qualification) • Experience with LPile, finite element analysis (SAP2000, STAAD, or similar), or other advanced modeling tools (plus qualification) • Spanish language skills (plus qualification) • OSHA 10-hour or comparable job-site safety certification (plus qualification) • Work authorization verification through the I-9 process
