📋 Description

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team • Lead engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems • Support peers and stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle • Collaborate with product management, design and analytics on ideation and technical decisions • Identify, advocate for and lead resolution of project, process, technology and business issues • Support operations and availability of team artifacts through metrics, escalation and on-call efforts • Establish and improve code review and design standards • Advocate for engineering standards through writing and tech talks • Develop team talent through feedback, guidance and leading by example

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale • Experience using languages such as Python or Kotlin • Track record developing highly available distributed systems • Experience with AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes • Experience supporting scale up and down of large-scale sales events • Experience tuning autoscaling, CPU/memory and multi-threading for compute workloads • Experience defining technical plans for significant features or system components • Ability to write high-quality, understandable and reusable code • Proficiency making significant changes in a large codebase safely • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Either equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related field
