📋 Description

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team • Lead engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems and support them throughout delivery • Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics during ideation and decision-making • Articulate technical constraints and evaluate risks and trade-offs • Identify and lead resolution of project, process, technology, and business issues • Support operations and availability of team artifacts through metrics creation and monitoring • Escalate issues when needed and support keep-the-lights-on and on-call efforts • Set or improve code review and design standards • Advocate for engineering standards through writing and tech talks • Develop team talent through feedback, guidance, and leading by example • Implement product features from Figma or product requirements • Migrate and modernize web code, design systems, and architecture • Build or reuse codemods, AI agent skills, and tools to improve delivery efficiency

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience developing and architecting web applications using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript • Experience working across multiple teams and driving horizontal initiatives with demonstrated leadership • Experience delivering major features or system components, or deprecating existing functionality, through a technical and execution plan • Experience defining technical plans for significant features or system components with elegant, simple, and extensible designs • High-quality coding skills; code must be easily understood and used by others • Proficiency making significant changes in a large codebase • Experience developing tools and practices to make large codebase changes safely • Proactive ownership of professional growth and seeking feedback • Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team • Must reside in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, or Saskatchewan
