📋 Description

• Build a foundational platform to reconcile transactions across systems, partners, and cash movements • Build and integrate data pipelines from multiple products and systems • Build user experiences that streamline business workflows • Develop deep understanding of Affirm's capital systems • Improve designs, code quality, and testing with team engineers • Collaborate with product managers and business counterparts on systems and processes • Break larger projects into tasks, deliver in phases, and ensure timely delivery • Participate in ideation, communicate technical constraints, and support risk-aware decisions with product management, design, and analytics • Create and monitor metrics, escalate issues, and support operational availability, keep-the-lights-on, and on-call efforts

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a software engineer • Fluency in full stack web development, back end development, event processing, or batch processing • Experience designing, building, launching, and maintaining products at scale • Proficiency with agentic coding • Knowledge of Python, JavaScript/React, Airflow, Spark, Horizon Portal, and SQL is a plus • Ability to design solutions involving multiple software components • Ability to write clear, well-tested, extensible code • Comfort navigating large code bases and debugging others' code • Experience providing code-review feedback • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to collaborate effectively with global engineering teams • Proactive, organized, curious, and self-starter mindset
