📋 Description

• Break down larger projects into individual tasks and deliver them in multiple phases • Collaborate with team members, product management, design, and analytics • Participate in ideation and articulate technical constraints • Partner on decisions that consider risks and trade-offs • Create and monitor metrics for team artifacts • Escalate issues and support operational availability and on-call efforts • Participate in growth and development activities, including interviews • Develop and maintain APIs used by partners and merchants to integrate with Affirm • Support systems powering major partners such as Amazon and Stripe

🎯 Requirements

• 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer • Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems • Proficiency in Python or Kotlin • Familiarity with distributed systems, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes • Experience designing, developing, and launching APIs at scale using Python or Kotlin • Ability to develop clear, well-tested, extensible code interacting with multiple software components • Comfortable navigating large codebases and debugging others' code • Experience providing feedback through code reviews • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
