📋 Description

• Set technical strategy for the team on a year-long time scale and connect it to critical, business-impacting projects • Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics throughout the product development lifecycle • Define and advocate for technical solutions and operational processes • Own team operations and availability, including monitoring, triage rotations, playbooks, policies, testing, alerting, and on-call efforts • Establish code review and design standards and advocate for quality and ownership through writing and tech talks • Develop team talent through feedback, guidance, and leading by example

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience developing and architecting mobile applications • 4+ years of experience using React Native • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript • Hands-on experience with React Native and Expo • Experience authoring or migrating native modules and components • Experience with complex state management in a React app; Redux Toolkit proficiency is a bonus • Experience performing React Native SDK major updates and debugging across the JS↔native boundary under the New Architecture • Up-to-date knowledge of native OS releases and their impact on React Native apps • Experience with mobile testing and observability tooling, including Maestro/Appium, Sentry/Crashlytics, and Statsig/LaunchDarkly • Proficiency with AI-assisted development such as Claude Code or comparable agentic tooling, including applying appropriate guardrails • Proven track record driving a team to execute large projects • Experience delivering major features or system components, or deprecating existing functionality, through technical and execution planning • Ability to write high-quality, understandable code used by others • Ability to work from low-level language idioms through large-system architecture • Demonstrated ability to gather and iterate on feedback from engineering and cross-functional peers • Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team • Either equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
