• Execute procurement activities in accordance with procurement best practices and standards • Collaborate with stakeholders on procurement planning, sourcing strategies, and contract management • Conduct procurement and contract data analysis, reporting, and monitoring • Maintain compliance with document management policies, reporting requirements, and record-keeping standards • Support procurement projects of varying complexity and strategic procurement initiatives • Develop and execute procurement activities and contracts for an assigned portfolio of IT goods and services • Provide mentorship, guidance, and coaching to IT Procurement Team members • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders • Ensure compliance with trade agreements, legislation, policies, and procurement frameworks • Leverage automation, data analytics, and AI to improve procurement processes and operational efficiency
• University graduation in a related field such as Business, Public Administration, Procurement, Contract and Vendor Relationship Management • 2 years of related experience in procurement, contract, and supplier/vendor management • Experience in strategy and policy planning, research and development • Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of 1 year of education for 1 year of experience, or 1 year of experience for 1 year of education • Knowledge of, experience with, and willingness to leverage automation, data analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) • Experience with procurement, consultation and contract management • Experience with SAP FieldGlass or similar services procurement management system • Experience with IT operations, project integration, ministry support, application support, supplier management and their dependencies • Knowledge of IT concepts, ITIL, COBIT, and Agile • Knowledge of various Artificial Intelligence technologies • Knowledge of Government of Alberta procurement policies, legislation, and trade agreements • Expertise in project management methodologies • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage time effectively • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, SAP, and Ariba • Must reside in Alberta to work remotely • Final candidates may be required to undergo a security screening
