📋 Description

• Lead and oversee all aspects of quality assurance within the production facility • Develop and implement comprehensive quality control policies and procedures • Stay abreast of food safety regulations and ensure facility compliance • Collaborate with regulatory bodies during inspections • Implement and monitor quality control measures throughout production • Conduct regular product and process inspections • Audit production processes and collaborate with departments on improvements • Establish and maintain quality-control documentation and records • Collaborate with procurement on incoming raw-material quality standards • Audit suppliers to ensure quality specifications • Develop and deliver quality-control training for production staff • Address quality-related customer concerns and implement corrective actions • Investigate non-conformance and deviations; implement corrective and preventive actions • Foster continuous improvement and enhance quality performance • Work with R&D to ensure new products meet quality standards • Provide quality input during product development • Develop and oversee emergency response plans related to quality issues • Lead crisis-management efforts for quality incidents

🎯 Requirements

• Three (3) or more years of leadership experience in a production environment • Two (2) or more years working with Lean Manufacturing principles • Four-year college degree in Food Science, Biological science, Chemistry, or a related field (Preferred Qualifications) • Certification in HACCP Principles and Preventive Controls for Human Food (Preferred Qualifications) • Strong production background – the ability to turn data into action • Ability to manage and develop employees • Ability to interface with regulatory agencies • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint, and ability to grasp additional business-related applications
