📋 Description

• Build, maintain, improve, and scale automated testing strategies • Architect and optimize automated testing frameworks across the Shopify Hydrogen storefront and backend middleware • Integrate automated tests into cloud-based CI/CD pipelines • Provide fast and reliable feedback through test automation • Track and report automation coverage, pipeline stability, test execution runtimes, flaky-test reduction, and production defect leakage • Perform API contract testing, performance profiling, load testing, and browser developer tool profiling • Guide, review, mentor, and support other QA developers • Raise the technical standard of the QA team • Help improve the quality, stability, and reliability of React-based storefront and internal middleware • Prevent bugs and reduce defects reaching production

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of QA development experience • 2+ years of leadership, mentorship, or coaching experience • Strong command of JavaScript and TypeScript • Hands-on experience with Cypress, Playwright, or similar automated testing frameworks • Experience architecting, optimizing, and scaling automated testing frameworks • Experience across Shopify Hydrogen storefronts and middleware • Experience integrating automated tests into cloud-based CI/CD pipelines • Knowledge of automation coverage, pipeline stability, test execution runtimes, flaky test reduction, production defect leakage, and QA reporting • Familiarity with API contract testing, performance profiling, load testing, and browser developer tool profiling • Curiosity, technical aptitude, and willingness to investigate issues • Python, PHP, Figma, Storybook, or Jest experience is an advantage • Humble, hungry to learn, and people smart • eCommerce experience, including substantial experience, required • Resume and cover letter required as one file • Cover letter must address role fit, quantifiable achievements, company values, a difficult challenge overcome, recent books, interests, and current employment situation
