Arc delivers brand‑specific, real‑time voice agents that integrate with existing POS systems and base stations (no replacement hardware required), enabling AI‑powered upsells, improved order accuracy, faster lines, and operational insights via dashboards and A/B testing. The product targets quick‑service restaurant operators and emphasizes measured lift in average order value, accuracy, and labor savings.

📋 Description

• Design and iterate on conversational and order-taking agent logic across multiple restaurant brands • Own difficult problems including turn-taking, background noise removal, and side conversations • Build and extend evaluation infrastructure • Work closely with POS and menu data to keep agent recommendations, substitutions, and pricing correct as brands, menus, and integrations evolve in real time • Own and continuously improve the end-to-end AI engine powering the agents • Research, experiment with, and roll out new AI techniques

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience • Significant hands-on experience training ML models from scratch and productionizing them at scale • Strong Python skills and comfort working in a real backend codebase, not just notebooks • Experience designing evaluation systems for non-deterministic outputs • Track record of turning ambiguous quality problems into measurable metrics and concrete fixes • Strong judgment about when to generalize agent behavior versus specialize per brand/customer • Communication skills to explain reasoning and bring others along • Bonus: experience with real-time/voice conversational agents, revenue or recommendation systems, or multi-tenant prompt/config management
