📋 Description

• Own end-to-end performance of the propulsion subsystem from architecture through test to demonstrated in-orbit results • Own the electric propulsion architecture for a full-EP GEO spacecraft, including propellant feed system, Hall-effect-class thruster integration, and PPU integration • Drive propulsion supplier selection and release of long-lead propulsion procurement • Define propulsion test requirements and specify test systems and ground support equipment • Oversee supplier- and system-level test execution • Analyze and accept propulsion test results • Own EOR/station-keeping delta-V strategy and supporting propulsion analyses • Assess in-orbit propulsion performance against predictions and correlate results back to models • Collaborate with Structures, GNC, Power, Systems, AIT, and mission operations teams • Drive procurement release and design closure for propulsion on the critical path

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of spacecraft propulsion experience • B.S. or M.S. in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering • Direct experience with electric propulsion (Hall-effect or gridded ion), xenon feed systems, and PPU integration • Demonstrated ownership of propulsion verification, including defining test requirements, specifying test systems/GSE, and analyzing and accepting test results • Familiarity with EOR and station-keeping delta-V analysis for GEO missions and correlating in-orbit propulsion performance against predictions • Experience driving propulsion supplier selection and procurement of long-lead propulsion hardware • Working knowledge of pressure-vessel (COPV) and propulsion safety considerations • Must be a U.S. person: U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident (green card holder), or have refugee/asylee status • Applicants on temporary work visas such as H-1B, TN, or O-1 are not eligible
