📋 Description

• Manage Ashby’s three Data Analysts, including two core analysts and one Revenue Operations analyst • Help hire and assess future analyst team members • Develop and improve data-team practices for prioritization, review, knowledge sharing, quality, and collaboration • Lead the transition from broad shared context toward meaningful specialization as Ashby grows • Help the Data team evaluate and navigate AI tools, workflows, and partnerships • Remain hands-on with analytical work in this player-coach role • Guide analytical quality across raw and modeled data • Help analysts contribute to dbt models and metric definitions • Support deep analysis, dashboards, and internal data products • Triage requests, assess needs, prioritize work, and determine whether requests require deliberate projects • Communicate capacity and make deliberate decisions about what not to do • Collaborate directly with partners throughout the company • Help meet increasing demand for trusted, well-modeled, accessible warehouse-derived data • Maintain a principled approach to using data for decision-making

🎯 Requirements

• Exceptional analytical judgment • Ability to produce and evaluate transparent, rigorous analysis • Strong visual and written communication skills • Deep hands-on SQL experience • Working fluency with dbt-style data modeling, cloud data warehouses, and BI tools • Experience leading, managing, or functionally acting as a manager for data practitioners in a high-growth company • Demonstrated judgment, coaching, hiring, and team-leadership abilities • Product-manager-like ability to identify core needs, understand users and business context, and turn ambiguous questions into useful work • Pragmatic and intellectually flexible approach to data and decision-making • Intimate familiarity with the B2B SaaS industry, workflows, and organizational structures • Experience in a growth-stage, product-oriented technology company • Comfort working hands-on across analytical data stacks, from modeling through analysis and dashboards • Formal people-management experience is valuable but not required if equivalent abilities are demonstrated • Applicants must be able to work from the United States or Canada
