• Strategically support the medical and scientific objectives of Alexion’s products across their life cycle • Communicate accurate and applicable science to Key Opinion Leaders within the assigned geographic area • Develop and maintain peer-to-peer collaborations with medical experts and NF1 disease experts • Identify, develop, and align relationships with KOLs, HCPs, partners, and professional organizations • Educate the medical community with current medical and scientific information and product information • Deliver medical education presentations and gather feedback for dissemination across the organization • Communicate and educate Alexion internal customers on local disease initiatives and treatment guidelines • Identify and implement collaboration opportunities involving publications, collaborative research, advisory boards, training, and speaker development • Communicate expert opinions, feedback on new data, and clinical trends to Medical Affairs and therapeutic area franchises • Translate scientific and clinical information into strategic recommendations to advance science and patient care • Support and implement Brand and Affiliate Company Strategy • Train physician experts on speaker presentations, address questions, and provide references • Respond to unsolicited medical information requests and ensure fair and balanced data responses • Contribute to collaborative research objectives and champion submitted proposals • Serve as point person for projects, perform clinical study feasibility, and support study implementation with clinical operations • Attend national and international meetings and congresses to gather intelligence and develop HCP relationships • Maintain close working relationships with commercial operations, sales, marketing, and other cross-functional partners
• 3+ years of MSL experience • PharmD or PhD or equivalent with experience in biological sciences • Bilingual French/ English • Experience in the therapeutic area • Experience relating to recently launched and marketed biologics/therapies would be beneficial • Previous experience in a rare or ultrarare disease environment would be considered an asset • Strong ability and experience to present complex scientific data • Consistent track record of relationship development in the industry • Well-established networks and relationships with TA-focused experts highly preferred • Strong organizational skills and high-level job proficiencies • Strong personal initiative and ability to function as part of a cross-functional team • Excellent time management and ability to work independently • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to travel to medical meetings, team meetings, and group meetings is required; some weekends may also be required • Live within the territory in which you will work (required) • Work authorization and employment eligibility verification requirements
