📋 Description

• Develop, test, and deploy high-quality, scalable software solutions aligned with complex business needs • Participate in technical discussions and contribute to high-level system architecture decisions • Focus on configurability and long-term maintainability in system design • Leverage modern AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining code integrity • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate user needs into features and improvements • Optimize application performance and ensure security and reliability • Conduct thorough code reviews • Identify and resolve technical challenges and propose solutions • Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes • Stay current with LLM integrations and automated testing advancements • Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies that enhance platform capabilities • Guide the team in modern engineering best practices, including TypeScript typing and AI prompting for complex refactors • Report to the Director of Development

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of software engineering experience building scalable, enterprise-grade applications • Experience navigating fast-paced software startup environments where shipping and iterating quickly is essential • Proven track record of shipping and operating real-world AI features in a live product, such as RAG, LLM integrations, vector search, or AI agents • Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript environments, specifically the MEAN stack: MongoDB, Express, Angular, and Node.js • Fluency with AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor and Copilot • Experience with automated testing using Jest, Cypress, and Playwright • Experience with CI/CD • Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure • Experience with Docker • Solid relational/NoSQL database foundation • Experience with vector search or search indexing, such as MongoDB Atlas Vector Search • Security-first mindset for handling sensitive corporate data • Ability to explain technical and AI trade-offs to non-technical partners • Ability to live and work full-time in Canada
