📋 Description

• Perform operational, accounting, and consulting services for Tribal governments • Manage monthly closing, grants management, grant reporting, and financial reporting to key decision makers • Prepare polished client deliverables and ensure their timely completion • Develop policies and procedures on key accounting matters • Work with clients to understand business practices, identify improvement opportunities, define new processes, and update policies and procedures • Perform project startup activities, follow work plans, adhere to schedules, and attend kickoff meetings • Coordinate with clients during the audit process, including helping clients prepare for audits • Assist with growing the practice • Review the work of self and team for accuracy • Serve as an integral member of the Business Consulting Services team • Occasionally travel to client locations, firm trainings, or industry conferences

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; emphasis in Accounting or related field preferred • Minimum of 5 years of related experience, not for profit and/or governmental experience • Experience in one or more of the following preferred: grants management, financial accounting including account reconciliation, governmental accounting standards implementation, and/or accounts payable processing • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including client service via email, phone, chat, and helpdesk ticket system • Ability to understand problems, think critically, and identify creative solutions • Effective time management and organizational skills • Ability to prioritize while managing numerous projects/processes under tight deadlines • Ability to work independently, prioritize work, establish goals, and produce quality work • Self-directed professional with strong interpersonal skills • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions, departments, and teams while building trusted relationships • Proficient with Microsoft Office and one or more government accounting/grant management software systems • Ability to travel as needed, approximately 10–15%
