📋 Description

• Manage assignments and initiate collection follow-up of all unpaid claims with appropriate third-party payors • Research and resolve underpayments and denials with appropriate obligators • Conduct root cause analyses and make recommendations regarding solutions • Support the appeals process and provide documentation as needed • Respond to insurance correspondence with appropriate actions • Meet established monthly collection and productivity goals • Provide information and assistance to patients and insurance companies • Accurately update system demographics, insurance information, patient issues, comments, and responses • Research insurance explanations of benefits (EOB) • Assist the collections team with identification and resolution of material issues involving underpayments and denials • Resolve clearinghouse rejections • Cover patient phone calls, voicemails, and billing email inquiries

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required • Associate degree preferred • At least 2 years of collections experience • Proficient in Microsoft Office • Medicare and Medicaid knowledge required • Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes • Experience with Connex, MEDI system, and commercial insurance portals • eClinicalWorks (ECW) and Modernizing Medicine (ModMed) experience is a plus • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Commitment to continuous performance improvement • Excellent time management skills • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
