• Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise in developing and delivering electrical engineering solutions • Oversee project execution and ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements throughout all project phases • Plan, coordinate, or prepare equipment/work specifications, bid evaluations, award recommendations, and vendor document reviews • Coordinate engineering efforts across disciplines, clients, suppliers, contractors, and other groups • Lead technical work for engineers or project subgroups • Mentor junior Electrical engineers and assist with on-the-job training and performance evaluations • Prepare or assist with conceptual studies, designs, reports, proposals, cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and staffing requirements • Perform standard discipline engineering activities on medium/large projects with minimal technical oversight • Coordinate technical issues with other departments, including constructability requirements and reviews • Design medium- and low-voltage distribution systems and electric heat tracing • Prepare hazardous area classification drawings, single/three-line diagrams, control schematics, grounding and lighting drawings, cable schedules, panel schedules, and electrical equipment data sheets • Perform equipment sizing and electrical engineering/design calculations • Conduct power system studies using ETAP, including load flow, fault/arc flash calculations, relay coordination, motor starting, and grounding studies • Provide technical direction and assign/review work of engineers, designers, and drafters • Apply engineering judgment to independent work planning, scheduling, and cost estimating • Support a work environment fostering openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction
• Recognized degree or diploma in an engineering or scientific discipline from an accredited college or university, or a professional license in electrical engineering discipline from a recognized licensing board • 20+ years electrical engineering experience in Oil & Gas, Refinery, LNG, Petrochemical, or Mining, Metals and Minerals projects in an EPC environment • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Interest in mentoring younger engineers as a subject matter expert • Knowledge of industry and regulatory codes and standards • Intermediate to advanced computer skills • Successful clearance of applicable pre-employment checks, which may include Criminal Background/Police Information check, Drug & Alcohol test, Reference checks, and submittal of Provincial Driver’s Abstract • Previous supervisory and/or lead experience is an asset
