📋 Description

• Manage the operations of the Health Information Management department for BHSF • Ensure the integrity of medical records • Serve as the subject matter expert for timely use and disclosure of protected health information • Ensure timely, complete, and accurate clinical medical records • Maintain compliance with HIPAA/Information Blocking, State/Federal Laws, TJC, CMS, Florida Department of Health Vital Statistics, and BHSF policies

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook) • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices • Prefer RHIA, RHIT, or BSHA • Required management experience in a large, multi-hospital health information management department with at least 5 years of HIPAA/Information Blocking, State/Federal Laws, TJC, CMS, and Quality Assurance standards • Excellent leadership, verbal and written communication, problem-solving, personnel management, and planning skills required • Knowledgeable in health information systems, database management, spreadsheet design, and computer technology
