📋 Description

• Own production data pipelines across GCP-based data warehousing, from orchestration through reporting • Ensure pipeline reliability, performance, cost efficiency, and data integrity • Write scalable dbt and BigQuery SQL to build and maintain data models across Beatport Group business functions • Plan and design RDBMS and data warehouses, data models, repositories, and pipelines for performance and scalability • Maintain and develop partner integrations using APIs and file-based exchange services such as SFTP and GCS • Support integrations with streaming fraud detection partners and music suppliers • Migrate and deprecate legacy data solutions using tools such as Pentaho and Jenkins • Create and maintain documentation for APIs, data pipelines, data models, and data dictionaries • Serve as the point of contact for resolving load failures and connectivity issues affecting downstream resources • Support data flow and integrations across the Beatport Group’s business units

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of direct data engineering experience • Experience building and owning cloud data warehouses, production data pipelines, and end-to-end ETL/ELT solutions • Experience handling and prioritising data requests from technical and non-technical stakeholders • Expert proficiency in SQL, ideally Google Cloud SQL-supported dialects including MySQL and Postgres • Proficiency with dbt • 3+ years of SQL-based programming and access control against RDBMS systems such as MS SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, or Oracle • Experience with production data pipeline orchestration, monitoring, and incident resolution • Experience with cloud orchestration products such as Airflow, Composer, or Cloud Run • Proficiency in a scripting language beyond SQL, particularly Python • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively • Meticulous approach to data integrity, especially for financial or regulatory reporting • Strong technical and non-technical communication and interpersonal skills • Applicants must be based in the Pacific Northwest in Canada or the USA • Valid right to work required
