📋 Description

• Work cross-functionally to identify, analyze, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks related to new products and services while maximizing commercial opportunities • Provide proactive, solution-oriented legal and regulatory advice to stakeholders across the Group for developing and launching crypto products and services • Participate in developing the regulatory advisory function • Represent the group before regulators, financial partners, users, and other external audiences • Review, update, and draft user agreements and external-facing terms and conditions • Work with global Risk and Compliance teams to assess applicable regulations and set company standards • Review and advise on external-facing marketing and user content and user experiences • Select and manage external counsel as appropriate

🎯 Requirements

• Around 9 years of post-qualification experience practicing in-house, an equivalent setting, or at a reputable law firm • At least 3 years focused on crypto regulation, payments law, FinTech, or financial services regulatory analysis in an international or cross-border environment • Ability to advise on payments and consumer protection laws • Ability to guide product design, modification, and geographical expansion • Ability to work in a fast-paced international environment and tolerate change and ambiguity • Comfortable interpreting and applying unsettled law • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills • Demonstrated ability to provide proactive legal advice and exercise sound business judgment • Strong problem-solving skills • Outstanding written and oral communication skills • Ability to work independently and in teams • Ability to handle multiple assignments and conflicting priorities • Proficient in both English and Chinese is essential • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Chinese-language word processing • Prior product legal experience in technology or financial services and/or experience with strategic partners is recommended but not required • Interest in cryptocurrencies and prior crypto-company experience are a plus • Payments-industry expertise and consumer-facing industry experience are pluses
