⢠Lead AI and HRIS product compliance, partnering with Product, Engineering, Security and the Privacy team; ⢠Embed a risk-based legal review into product development workflows; ⢠Own product T&Cs for HRIS and AI features (output ownership, training use, acceptable use, transparency/disclaimers). ⢠Stand up core Product AI governance (model inventory, risk classification, human oversight, bias/testing, incident response alignment)
⢠Qualified Lawyer: Seasoned lawyer with extensive experience on Product counseling (jurisdiction agnostic; multiple bars a plus) ⢠Product Counsel Experience in technology, with prior HR-tech exposure (EOR/PEO/HRIS/Payroll) advising at scale across multiple jurisdictions. ⢠Strong command of emerging AI frameworks (e.g., EU AI Act, UK approach, U.S. state/federal developments, Canada AIDA) and their interplay with data protection (GDPR/CCPA) and employment transparency rules ⢠In-house Experience: Bonus - In-house legal experience preferred ⢠Startup Experience: Bonus - Experience in fast-paced start-up ⢠Tech Passion: Passionate about tech and HR tech products ⢠Skills: Excellent analytical and organizational skills ⢠Language: Writes and speaks fluent English ⢠Tools: Tech-savvy with Slack, Juro, Notion, Google Drive, or equivalent ⢠It's not required to have experience working remotely, but considered a plus.
