• Manage income, contract, donor, and grant accounts, including deposits, balances, and expense authorizations • Serve as primary contact for post-award issues, including reimbursements, purchases, invoice payments, staffing, consulting payments, subcontracts, budget analysis, and financial planning • Track budgets, actuals, and projections using the internal forecast model • Review and reconcile monthly accounts to actual expenditures • Manage master reconciliation workbooks and centralized post-award files • Manage account closeout processes and ensure funds are appropriately spent and allocated • Collaborate with Principal Investigators and RAF staff on budget preparation • Generate and distribute regular reports • Interface with hospital/university departments, leadership, external organizations, and administrative teams • Develop and monitor annual budgets for divisions, Pediatric Research Services, and/or Principal Investigators • Manage payroll information and centralized personnel files • Collaborate with Principal Investigators on employee hiring • Orient and advise faculty, staff, students, residents, and fellows on financial policies and procedures • Assist with pre-award processes, including budget creation • Attend research administration, departmental, leadership, and related meetings • Follow RAF policies and hospital standards, including infection control and safety procedures • Perform other duties as needed or required
• Bachelor’s degree in related field and 3+ years of experience • Appropriate combination of education, certifications and/or relevant work experience will be considered • Minimum 3 years financial, grant administration and/or budget management experience required, preferably in healthcare or non-profit field • Knowledge of federal and non-federal grants • Knowledge of programs and Grants Administration policies and practices • Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment • Ability to anticipate objections and plan appropriate responses • Ability to perform and lead effectively in stressful situations and solve problems as they occur • Exceptional organization, ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, web browsers, and standard office software • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Dedicated team player with willingness to learn and impart knowledge to staff
