📋 Description
• Guide inpatient (IP) and outpatient (OP) coding and reimbursement practices • Provide direct oversight and supervision of coding staff and workflows • Develop and maintain coding guidelines for inpatient and outpatient services • Respond to billing edits and reports to ensure accurate DRG and APC/APG assignment • Conduct systematic data quality reviews and support documentation integrity • Manage coding-related RAC reviews and external coding audits
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management or a related field • Minimum of five years of acute care hospital coding experience with ICD-10-CM/PCS • At least three years must be healthcare management experience • Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credential required • Preferred experience utilizing Current Procedural Terminology (CPT-4)
