📋 Description

• Create, own, and maintain high-quality, readable, flexible, reusable, and adaptable code • Own the full lifecycle of software products from design to production, including bug fixes, load testing, penetration testing, and accessibility remediation • Tackle difficult technical challenges and identify blind spots • Debug complex issues across full technology stacks and codebases • Identify and address technical debt and potential future challenges • Own smaller project areas while maintaining high standards of code quality • Balance speed and quality based on team requirements • Translate product requirements and tickets into efficient code solutions • Create and share project and domain-specific knowledge • Investigate technical problems, advocate for solutions, gain stakeholder buy-in, and rally engineers • Design and implement scalable, performant, and resilient full-stack systems • Simplify code and infrastructure while prioritizing maintenance and migration costs • Improve developer efficiency and avoid reinvention • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback • Work on moderately defined project areas with guidance from senior technical leaders • Develop deep self-sufficiency in at least one large project area while maintaining broad system understanding • Communicate technical designs through proofs of concept and documentation • Communicate assumptions and seek clarification • Deliver high-quality work on schedule and follow through on commitments • Anticipate and prevent potential problems • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver and scale solutions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) • 7+ years of full-time work experience, or equivalent, as a full-stack or back-end software developer, data engineer, engineering manager, or start-up founder • Advanced proficiency in English, both verbal and written • Proficient in at least one of: TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, Go, C#, or Rust • Strong understanding of databases and data modelling • Experience building and maintaining REST and/or GraphQL APIs • Experience building front-end web apps using modern technologies and frameworks, such as React and Node • Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization, such as Docker • Familiarity with enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines • Knowledge of front-end performance optimization techniques and responsive design principles • Knowledge of front-end design systems and component libraries • Familiarity with DevOps practices and infrastructure as code tools, such as Terraform • In-depth business knowledge of a particular area or sector is an advantage
