📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain deploy and release pipelines and release automation • Build and improve internal release tooling, including script packaging, DBA approvals, code and script deployments, and release-finishing workflows • Advance the CI/CD GitOps process with reusable GitLab CI templates, Helm charts, and ArgoCD applications • Containerize and modernize QA and lower environments using Kubernetes, Helm, and Ansible • Modernize build tools across the organization • Attend daily team stand-ups and collaborate with distributed cross-functional teams across US and UK time zones • Troubleshoot deployment and infrastructure issues and resolve environment-specific problems with engineering teams • Leverage AI tools such as Claude Code and Claude Cowork for testing, automation, investigation, refactoring, and toil reduction • Write clean, well-tested Python, Bash, and shell automation and scripts • Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and developer enablement • Mentor teammates, drive priorities and process discussions, and independently own complex cross-cutting initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• Automation-first mindset and ability to automate repetitive tasks • Ability to work through complex problems independently and support less experienced teammates • Comfortable scripting and building tooling in Python and Bash/shell • Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems, including GitLab CI/CD and/or Jenkins, and building and maintaining pipelines • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm • Experience building full-stack automation tooling with Python backends and JavaScript frontend/UI work • Experience with GitOps and/or infrastructure-as-code and configuration management, such as ArgoCD or Ansible • Comfortable with Git-based workflows and modern versioning practices • Eagerness to use AI tooling to improve individual and team output • Care for reliability, security, and developer experience, with clear communication • Bonus: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field, or relevant work experience • Bonus: Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, including RDS • Bonus: Experience with Octopus Deploy, Nexus, or Artifactory • Bonus: Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Backstage, Rancher, or ELK • Bonus: Familiarity with SQL Server and DBA collaboration on script and schema deployments • Bonus: Exposure to secure SDLC/compliance considerations and pipeline change management • Bonus: Experience modernizing or migrating legacy systems toward containerized workflows • Bonus: Experience working across geographically distributed teams and time zones
