📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain deploy and release pipelines and release automation • Build and improve internal release tooling, including script packaging, DBA approvals, code and script deployments, and release-finishing workflows • Advance CI/CD GitOps processes by authoring reusable GitLab CI templates, Helm charts, and ArgoCD applications • Containerize and modernize QA and lower environments using Kubernetes, Helm, and Ansible • Modernize build tools across the organization • Attend daily team stand-ups and collaborate with a distributed cross-functional team across US and UK time zones • Troubleshoot deployment and infrastructure issues and resolve environment-specific problems with engineering teams • Use AI tools such as Claude Code and Claude Cowork to write tests and automation, accelerate investigations and refactoring, and eliminate toil • Write clean, well-tested Python and Bash automation and scripts • Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and developer enablement • Mentor teammates and drive discussions about priorities and process • Independently own complex, cross-cutting initiatives • Partner with engineering teams to reduce software delivery friction and enable confident deployments

🎯 Requirements

• Automation-first mindset • Comfortable scripting and building tooling in Python and Bash/shell • Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems, including GitLab CI/CD and/or Jenkins • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm • Comfortable building full-stack automation tooling with Python backend and JavaScript frontend/UI • Experience with GitOps and/or infrastructure-as-code and configuration management, such as ArgoCD and Ansible • Comfortable with Git-based workflows and modern versioning practices • Eager to use AI tooling to improve individual and team output • Care about reliability, security, and developer experience • Clear communication with engineering teams • Ability to work through complex problems independently and support less experienced teammates • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field, or relevant work experience (bonus/preferred) • Experience with AWS, including services such as RDS (bonus) • Experience with Octopus Deploy and artifact repositories such as Nexus or Artifactory (bonus) • Experience with monitoring and observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, Backstage, Rancher, or ELK (bonus) • Familiarity with SQL Server and DBA collaboration on script and schema deployments (bonus) • Exposure to secure SDLC/compliance considerations, including SOC (bonus) • Experience modernizing or migrating legacy systems to modern containerized workflows (bonus) • Comfort working across geographically distributed teams and time zones (bonus)
