📋 Description

• Manage a compact, high-leverage group of product engineers • Help the team turn customer needs into shipped value quickly and deliberately • Oversee spend-management functionality, including forecasting, unusual-usage detection, and allocation logic • Oversee flexible, reusable interface components for intuitive spend exploration • Oversee visualization tools exposing usage patterns and query performance • Oversee data pipelines and transformation models that turn raw usage into actionable insight • Maintain a dependable and performant application • Partner closely with product and design to focus engineering effort on customer impact • Coach, develop, and expand the engineering team • Clarify priorities, maintain alignment, and remove obstacles • Balance velocity and quality while making tradeoffs under time pressure • Enable features from initial idea through launch • Participate in recruiting and onboarding new hires • Establish standards for design, testing, documentation, and decision-making • Collaborate across product, design, and leadership

🎯 Requirements

• Experience managing, coaching, developing, and expanding an engineering team • Ability to clarify priorities, maintain alignment, clear obstacles, and keep delivery on track • Ability to balance velocity against quality and make sound tradeoffs under time pressure • Ability to enable engineers to carry features from initial idea through launch • Experience participating in recruiting and ramping new hires • Ability to establish and maintain standards for design, testing, documentation, and decision-making • Ability to collaborate closely across product, design, and leadership • Technology environment familiarity is helpful but not mandatory: TypeScript, React, Next.js, Tailwind, Python, FastAPI, Postgres, Snowflake, Terraform, GCP, dbt, Dagster • Bonus: experience leading engineers in young startups • Bonus: exposure to FinOps, cloud infrastructure, cost optimization, or data-platform work • Bonus: hands-on experience with a comparable technology stack
