📋 Description

• Develop and maintain relationships with architects, general contractors, developers, building owners and other key clients • Identify, pursue and secure structural engineering consulting opportunities throughout Nova Scotia and Atlantic Canada • Lead business development initiatives, prepare proposals and negotiate professional service agreements • Provide technical leadership and oversight on structural engineering projects involving varied building types and construction materials • Build and manage a portfolio of commercial, residential, institutional, industrial and other building-sector projects • Collaborate with engineering professionals to deliver practical, innovative and cost-effective solutions • Mentor and support engineering staff • Participate in strategic planning, market development and long-term business growth initiatives • Help expand the firm's structural engineering presence and reputation in Halifax and throughout Nova Scotia

🎯 Requirements

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licence in good standing with Engineers Nova Scotia — required • Extensive experience in structural consulting engineering, including design, assessment and modification of buildings • Proven business development success, including developing relationships and generating consulting engineering assignments • Established professional network within the Halifax and Nova Scotia building design and construction markets • Experience delivering structural engineering services across new construction, renovations, additions, rehabilitation and restoration • Strong technical knowledge of structural systems and materials, including steel, concrete, masonry and wood • Ability to manage client relationships, develop proposals, secure projects and oversee successful project delivery • Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills • Interest in business growth, leadership and progression toward Partnership • Previous experience as an Associate, Principal, Department Manager or Practice Leader would be an asset
