• Provide virtual hospital medicine care across multiple Greater Charlotte Region hospitals • Perform virtual admissions and comprehensive admission history and physical examinations for adult hospitalized patients • Formulate, develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians • Conduct virtual inpatient rounding and follow-up assessments • Provide cross-coverage and ongoing clinical management • Record examination findings, assessments, and plans of care • Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory, radiology, and other diagnostic studies • Write prescriptions and administer medications within scope of practice • Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in clinical condition • Coordinate care with physicians, bedside APPs, nursing, consultants, pharmacy, rehabilitation, case management, and ancillary departments • Document patient encounters, assessments, interventions, and clinical decisions in Epic • Advocate for patients • Participate in department/practice meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and policy development • Maintain compliance with Advocate Health policies, clinical guidelines, and regulatory requirements • Perform other duties within scope of licensure and credentialing
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program • Nurse Practitioners must hold a Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Nursing Practice with Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP or AGACNP) board certification • Physician Assistants must hold certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) • Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in North Carolina • Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license • BLS for Healthcare Provider (AHA) certification valid at least 90 days beyond start date • Hospital Medicine, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, or other acute inpatient experience preferred • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment • Strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills • Ability to perform thorough history and physical assessments • Ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Experience utilizing Epic electronic medical record preferred • Must speak English fluently and in understandable terms • Required to live in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, or Alabama
