📋 Description

• Develop a cost-evidence-based funder strategy with BUR and External Relations • Create a workplan and objectives and key results (OKRs) • Produce five public-facing thought-leadership articles of 500–2,000 words • Prepare eight cost-evidence-based funder briefs covering giving criteria, funding opportunities, and engagement paths • Create a master list of high-likelihood funding opportunities matched to potential funders • Produce 15 funding opportunity concept notes with back-of-the-envelope calculations for cost-effectiveness and absorptive capacity • Lead review sessions and provide written feedback on approximately 5–10 BOTECs produced by BUR team members • Collaborate with the Senior Director, Cost-effectiveness, BUR, External Relations, and other IRC colleagues • Support IRC’s funder relationships, donor-facing funding opportunities, and thought leadership

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of cost-evidence-based funding or fundraising experience • Demonstrated success disbursing or securing multi-year $5+ million grants • Strong preference for 3+ years of work experience in low- or middle-income countries • Strong quantitative skills, including building, interpreting, and defending cost-effectiveness analyses or BOTECs • Strong preference for experience analyzing humanitarian programming in Fragile and Conflict-affected Situations • Strong preference for experience building and using AI tools to support analysis • Excellent writing and communication skills for technical and lay audiences • Fluency in cost-evidence-based funder terminology • Adherence to cost-evidence-based funder values of high reasoning transparency, truth-seeking, and humility • Ability to design and prioritize an independent workplan • High attention to detail, including project and knowledge management • Ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders in a large organization • Ability to work flexibly under pressure and manage competing priorities • Fluent in English; French a plus
