📋 Description

• Support externally funded programs through post-award sponsored project administration • Administer acceptance, monitoring, and reporting activities for externally sponsored awards • Serve as a grants point of contact for Carle under the Director of Grants Administration • Collaborate with departments to establish and financially manage grants in Workday • Work with Research and Accounting to develop and implement OMB-compliant accounting and procurement guidance and processes • Design and maintain reports to monitor and analyze grant financial data • Ensure financial activity and transactions comply with policies, project budgets, and agreements • Verify expenditures are allowable and appropriate • Reconcile expenditures charged to grant worktags • Monitor budgets, account balances, and expenditures • Perform ad hoc analyses and initiate transfers when necessary • Prepare financial reports and analyses for program directors • Alert program directors when budget revisions are needed • Advise on the financial aspects of hiring and major spending decisions • Prepare invoices and manage receivables for subaward agreements • Monitor personnel effort and compensation compliance on sponsored projects • Assist with internal and external reporting requirements • Complete sponsored project close-out reviews and close project accounts with Accounting • Represent Carle Health in internal and external audits • Track and monitor costs of internally funded projects

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field • Work experience in a related field • Knowledge of OMB 2 CFR 200 Uniform Guidance • Knowledge of grant-specific and institution-specific requirements • Ability to exercise professional judgment, independence, and discretion • Ability to apply relevant policies, procedures, and accepted regulatory practices • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment • Experience with Workday Grants module • Understanding of accounting and procurement guidance and processes • Knowledge of sponsored project financial management, reporting, compliance, budgeting, invoicing, receivables, effort and compensation monitoring, audits, and project close-out • Ability to participate in internal and external audits • Work authorization verification through E-Verify and Form I-9
