📋 Description

• Accountable for the performance of a portfolio of Medical Management initiatives and implementation of the Health Equity Cultural Competency Program • Plan, manage, implement, and support initiatives that create value across clinical operations, including care management, utilization management, outreach programs, and physical and behavioral health services • Evaluate specialty companies and vendors, define business terms during contracting, and lead implementation of medical management programs • Oversee and directly manage a team responsible for project management, performance improvement, and clinical analytics • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify, develop, and implement programs that improve outcomes • Promote cultural competence throughout the health plan through culturally inclusive best practices and provider training • Partner with community, regional, and statewide organizations to improve culturally competent programs and services • Assess cultural diversity of the provider network, identify resources and gaps, and develop credentialing and network development recommendations • Monitor and evaluate provider practices through KPIs and health equity dashboards • Implement population-specific activities, cultural treatment teams, and community support system activities • Identify population trends and health disparities, and recommend outreach, community activities, and innovative programming • Create and implement an outcomes-based Cultural Competency Plan aligned with CLAS standards and national and regional priorities • Monitor and continually improve culturally competent performance using data-driven assessments

🎯 Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future • Must reside in the state of California • Bachelor’s Degree required • Master’s Degree preferred • 10+ years of related experience • 3+ years of supervisory/management experience • Experience in medical management initiatives, clinical operations, care management, utilization management, outreach programs, or related health plan services • Experience evaluating specialty companies/vendors and defining business terms during contracting • Experience leading implementation of medical management programs • Experience with project management, performance improvement, and clinical analytics • Knowledge of cultural competence, health equity, CLAS standards, and culturally inclusive practices • Experience developing provider training, cultural competency plans, health equity dashboards, and population-specific interventions
