Center for Social Dynamics (CSD) is an organization providing services to those with developmental delays, including autism, in the state of California, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, and Hawaii. Founded in 2012, CSD focuses on expanding and delivering personalized, family-based, and culturally sensitive treatment aimed at achieving evidence-based positive outcomes for patients. Their multidisciplinary team offers a variety of therapies including behavior analysis, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and psychological therapies to cater to the unique needs of children and families affected by autism and other developmental disabilities.

📋 Description

• Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes by preparing journal entries, supporting schedules, and financial reconciliations • Prepare, review, and maintain general ledger account reconciliations and monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and completeness • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, management reports, and internal reporting packages • Perform variance analysis by comparing financial results to budgets, forecasts, and prior periods, identifying trends and providing recommendations • Support revenue recognition processes in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) • Perform daily cash management activities, including bank reconciliations and cash reporting • Assist with the preparation of audit schedules, supporting documentation, and responses to external audit requests • Support annual tax reporting requirements by gathering, organizing, and validating financial data • Assist in maintaining and strengthening internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies • Identify opportunities for process improvements and support accounting system enhancements that improve efficiency and reporting accuracy • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Payroll, and other departments to resolve accounting issues and support organizational initiatives • Maintain accurate financial records while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting best practices • Perform additional accounting and finance-related duties and special projects as assigned.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required • Two to three years of progressive accounting experience • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) • Experience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements, and variance analysis • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with accounting and financial systems • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment • Healthcare, behavioral health, or ABA industry experience preferred • CPA or CPA candidate preferred but not required.
