• Supports the development and implementation of a comprehensive operations strategy • Develops subject matter expertise on regulatory requirements associated with Alberta Regulation 194/2022 • Develops and maintains productive relationships with contract partners • Collaborates with partners to refine the processes that enable commercial contract terms to translate into executable operational plans • Interfaces with other departments responsible for the financial aspects of the relationship • Monitors CM's relationships with key stakeholders within the collection and consolidation system • Helps oversee Common Collection System administrative and project specialists • Participates in the development of a well-researched and planned annual operations budget • Prepares accurate, timely and data driven reports
• Bachelor’s degree, college diploma or equivalent management experience in a related field is required • 5+ years progressive experience leading recycling collection systems including contracts, operating standards, performance metrics and performance outcomes • Knowledge of procurement processes gained through demonstrated hands-on experience • Experience and/or knowledge of First Nations consulting and contracting practices and processes would be considered an asset • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Visio, SharePoint, Teams, Excel and JIRA • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills • Strong stakeholder management skills, including negotiation, persuasion, and collaboration.
