• Define end-to-end user journey for digital experiences on HMH's teaching and learning platform • Adapt content and metadata for a research-based, digital-first experience serving the needs of all learners • Work across grade levels: elementary, middle school, and/or high school with guidance from senior team • Create and adapt content and metadata; work on a scrum team to solve teaching/learning problems, test, deliver, and iterate • Develop instructionally-sound content that delivers value and aligns with market expectations, often contributing fresh, innovative solutions • Apply an agile approach to ensure work is completed on time and is of high quality • Participate in retrospectives to identify and offer improvements to internal processes • Understand design thinking methodology and the value of user research; summarize findings and apply them to solutions • Analyze data usage/efficacy data to iterate on instructional content • Communicate with scrum and extended team members; meet educators' and students' needs • Produce or edit content with digital tools

🎯 Requirements

• Experience: 1-2 years experience in K-12 education and/or instructional design for K-12 students • Expertise in mathematics pedagogy • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Instructional Design, or related field • Technical Skills: Digital instructional material development and delivery (preferred) • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel • Experience using data analysis/interpretation to inform solutions to market problems (preferred) • Experience creating and using metadata (preferred)
