📋 Description

• Drive strategic initiatives to optimize the development lifecycle and improve engineer productivity • Elevate the development workflow by identifying and resolving "first mile" development bottlenecks • Champion standardization: create guides and "blue books" to formalize best practices across engineering • Lead integration of AI tooling (e.g., Cursor) and implement LLM-based automation and onboarding enhancements • Develop a standardized hiring questionnaire to assess candidates' skills and willingness to use LLMs • Explore automation opportunities using LLMs for operational tasks (reports, AI-based triage for Sentry) • Utilize Developer Experience techniques to uncover and resolve pre-commit workflow bottlenecks • Empower Communities of Practice (Python, AQA, DevOps) to recommend company-wide tools and stacks • Research and propose consolidation strategy for code review tools and bots • Promote prompt engineering and maintain a library of AI research; measure impact of AI initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• Proven track record of designing and implementing programs that improve engineering workflows • Comfortable writing code and discussing integration of new technologies like AI and LLMs • Extensive experience with Python • Deep familiarity with open-source development and methodologies • Ability to influence without authority and work with stakeholders from individual contributors to executive leadership • Strong data-driven skills: creating metrics assessments and analyzing usage data • Proactive communication skills: building awareness, creating quick guides for self-exploration, and communicating the value of new processes and tools
