📋 Description

• Lead the Data Products engineering pillar for Counterpart Health’s clinical-data foundation • Own the technical strategy and execution for the Data Products roadmap • Own canonical data modeling and ingestion scalability • Manage and optimize clinical data ingestion pipelines • Scale customer data onboarding processes • Improve data hygiene, canonical storage standards, observability, and pipeline monitoring • Enable shared funnel visibility across the organization • Support development of an enterprise reporting framework • Drive adoption of AI-powered software development lifecycle practices for coding, testing, and deployment • Maintain stringent code quality and security standards • Partner with the VP of Engineering and cross-functional leaders in Product, Data Science, and Design • Deliver improved clinical data coverage and freshness, standardized multi-customer scaling, broad platform adoption, and robust data infrastructure

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering experience focused on high-scale data platforms, distributed systems, and interoperability standards such as FHIR and CCDA • Proven track record managing and scaling engineering teams handling data-heavy workloads and complex clinical data pipelines • Proven experience leading cross-functional engineering teams delivering complex software in regulated environments • Experience implementing and scaling AI-assisted development workflows, such as AI code assistants, automated testing, or AI-driven SDLC • Experience building and managing engineering systems in highly regulated healthcare environments • Strong operational understanding of HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance requirements • Familiarity with complexities and lack of standardization in clinical datasets • Experience directly hiring, mentoring, and developing engineering managers, Tech Leads, and Principal Engineers • Ability to cultivate a high-performance engineering culture focused on velocity, quality, and psychological safety • Experience leading organizational change, including structural reorganizations and process evolution • Proficiency in strategic resource allocation, capacity planning, and managing technical debt • Exceptional stakeholder management and ability to translate technical constraints into business strategies • Passion for healthcare and improving patient outcomes • Ability to navigate ambiguity, align technical priorities with strategic objectives, and own system sustainability
