• Plan and supervise underground drilling programs • Conduct underground structural, geological and geotechnical mapping and sampling • Complete accurate core logging and sampling • Oversee and review early-career team members’ work for accuracy and consistency • Provide mentorship and training as required • Create and communicate results and progress through presentations and written reports • Perform pre-operational checks and operate equipment according to Safe Operating procedures • Assist with surface exploration programs as required • Work with Mine Operations and Technical Services departments to accomplish shared objectives • Accomplish other tasks within the area of expertise as requested
🎯 Requirements
• B.Sc. Geology or Geoscience • Minimum of five (5) years mining or exploration experience • Experience with underground diamond drilling programs • Experience in CRD-skarn-porphyry or structurally-controlled deposits considered an asset • Working knowledge of 3D software (Leapfrog or similar), Acquire, word processing and spreadsheet programs • Registered or eligible for PGeo registration with EGBC • Valid driver's license • Capable of driving and navigating underground • Familiarity with digital underground geological mapping considered an asset • Familiarity with geotechnical logging and underground mapping considered an asset • Physically fit to perform the duties of the position • Legally entitled to work in Canada • Willing to work a two week in/two week out schedule, working 12 hours per day at a remote mine camp
