📋 Description

• Report to the Captain and Marine Management Team • Ensure the vessel and its equipment are properly maintained through short-term and long-term maintenance • Ensure the safety of the crew and vessel with the Captain • Operate the vessel safely and prudently using good seamanship • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, Classification Society, and Transport Canada • Take responsibility for operation and maintenance of all shipboard equipment • Ensure maintenance is completed and tracked in a timely and cost-effective manner • Optimize vessel efficiency in coordination with navigation officers and factory watch supervisors • Perform maintenance and repairs in engine room, factories, and deck areas • Conduct daily inspections of the vessel and equipment • Develop maintenance programs and plan refits with the Marine Management Team • Record inspections and repairs and ensure vessel readiness for scheduled sailing • Manage vessel turnaround and maintenance layovers • Champion the digital Safety Management System • Direct engine room team tasks • Communicate operation and maintenance needs to Deck and Factory supervisors

🎯 Requirements

• Valid Engineer's motor certificate, class 2 or greater • Commercial fishing license • Valid passport • Seafarers Medical • MED WHMIS • Senior Manager/Supervisor-level experience indicated
