Connections Academy is a tuition-free, accredited K–12 online public school program operated by Connections Education (a Pearson division). It delivers state-aligned curriculum and virtual classroom experiences with certified teachers, personalized learning, and support for families serving as learning coaches. The program offers grade-level courses, college and career readiness, clubs and socialization opportunities, and technology support across multiple U. S. states.

📋 Description

• Manage teachers and oversee the overall high school operation • Manage implementation of the Connections Academy curriculum and school operation protocols • Ensure teachers maintain professionalism, instructional support, and customer service • Support individual student academic success and communicate with parents about program information and student needs • Implement and monitor the school improvement plan • Deliver school outcomes against annual goals, including student academic achievement • Assist teaching staff with program changes and new software applications • Communicate with staff, students, and families • Participate in parent outreach activities through statewide informational meetings and virtual meetings • Handle student problems escalated by parents and teachers • Support and coordinate state standardized testing and student participation • Serve as hiring manager for elementary instructional positions • Assist families needing additional support • Participate in student recruitment, in-state travel, presentations, Q&A sessions, and press responses • Support school community activities through in-person field trips and virtual activities • Supervise and evaluate elementary and middle school staff as required • Contribute to best practices for distance education • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Must reside within the state of Alabama • Alabama Administrative certification • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience • Master of Education degree is preferred • Administrative or management experience within a school environment • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Experience managing people • Ability to travel as needed • Customer-focused approach • High degree of flexibility • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment • Technological proficiency, especially with the Internet and Microsoft Office products • Must be able to use a personal electronic device and an email address for two-step authentication
