📋 Description

• Manage assigned projects, typically valued up to $1M, from award through completion • Plan, schedule, direct, and manage site and field installation, start-up, and closeout • Manage project budgeting, scheduling, execution, forecasting, financials, and resource planning • Serve as the primary customer point of contact • Ensure customer satisfaction, safety, quality assurance, scope compliance, delivery standards, and customer-specific requirements • Collaborate with local Convergint Project Managers, customers, and Program Managers • Develop and manage project installation plans and job execution strategies • Maintain records of job status, material flow, change orders, and project documentation • Identify and mitigate project risks to minimize cost deviations and schedule delays • Partner with technical subject matter experts to create runbooks and execution plans • Communicate project progress, schedules, and changes to stakeholders • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required

🎯 Requirements

• Project management experience in a technical environment, including building automation systems, fire alarm systems, electronic security systems, or AV systems • Coaching, mentoring, and staff development skills • Team leadership, team building, and facilitation skills • Proactive initiative and adaptability • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills • Strong analytical and conflict resolution skills • Financial analytical skills, including cost control • Ability to facilitate a collaborative working environment • Basic Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills • Basic knowledge and understanding of IT networking principles • College degree, trade school, or equivalent experience • Associate degree in Engineering or related field • Minimum 3 years of relevant engineering, field service, or project management experience • Preferred experience in electronic, fire alarm and life safety, building automation, and/or AV systems • Previous project supervisory experience preferred • Project Management Institute (PMI) certification and/or industry-specific certifications or licenses preferred • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
