📋 Description

• Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, including forklifts, scissor lifts, and articulate boom equipment used in construction • Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency • Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings • Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools • Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly for proper performance and compliance with manufacturers’ specifications • Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles • Troubleshoot operating errors and repair machines or systems • Install equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to specifications • Monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators • Report directly to the Shop Service Manager

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience in a shop or field setting • Forklift technician experience; forklift experience recommended • Automotive dealership technician experience encouraged • Ability to read operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings • Ability to use trade-type and hand tools • Must have own tools • Must be able to wear protective equipment, including goggles, face shield, gloves, and work apron • Ability to frequently lift and pull up to 100 pounds and work in awkward positions or beneath trucks • Driver’s License required • Clean DMV record; record will be checked • Troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, equipment selection, installation, operating monitoring, problem sensitivity, information ordering, manual dexterity, near vision, multi-limb coordination, and control precision
