âą Serve as the primary compliance subject matter resource for assigned regulatory areas, including TILA, RESPA, TRID, and the SAFE Act âą Evaluate regulatory requirements, investor guidance, overlays, and internal policies for loan origination system functionality, workflows, disclosures, documents, and controls âą Conduct first-pass regulatory research and issue analysis and prepare work products for attorney or executive compliance review âą Translate regulatory and business requirements into business, system, and procedural requirements âą Help design rules, fields, logic, workflows, outputs, and operational impacts within the loan origination system âą Own assigned compliance-related changes from analysis through implementation and validation âą Partner with Technology, Operations, Legal, Compliance leadership, project resources, and business stakeholders âą Design and execute test scenarios, review results and defects, and identify gaps or issues requiring follow-up âą Guide QA resources by clarifying expected behavior and refining test scenarios âą Document requirements, interpretations, decisions, findings, and implementation outcomes for audit and examination needs âą Track open questions, exceptions, and dependencies through resolution âą Communicate status, issues, risks, and recommendations for assigned initiatives âą Improve processes, requirements templates, testing approaches, and documentation practices âą Serve as ongoing compliance owner for assigned loan origination system functionality âą Evaluate concerns regarding existing compliance logic and determine whether clarification, testing, or updates are needed âą Support continuous improvement by identifying enhancements, updating requirements, and validating changes
âą Bachelor's degree or equivalent combinations of education, training, professional certifications, and relevant experience âą Relevant education, training, certifications, or experience in compliance, mortgage operations, business analysis, legal support, quality assurance, or a related field âą Experience working with mortgage compliance requirements, investor guidelines, disclosures, loan documentation, and related operational processes âą Experience working in mortgage operations, including applying regulatory requirements within workflows, systems, and operational processes, preferred âą Experience performing regulatory research, compliance analysis, requirements drafting, testing support, or implementation support within mortgage or financial services environments, preferred âą Experience with loan origination systems (LOS), Jira, testing documentation, requirements documentation, and workflow management or tracking tools, preferred âą Ability to collaborate across Compliance, Legal, Technology, Operations, and project teams âą Skill interpreting regulatory requirements and translating them into system logic, configuration, and workflow behavior âą Critical thinking and independent analysis skills âą Problem-solving skills with incomplete, unclear, or evolving information âą Ability to review requirements, testing results, workflows, documentation, and implementation outcomes for gaps and inconsistencies âą Excellent communication skills âą Excellent organizational and follow-through skills for multiple concurrent workstreams and deliverables
