📋 Description

• Manage and review all corporate tax returns • Analyze financial data, conduct tax research, and identify tax-saving opportunities • Collaborate with finance teams, external auditors, and tax authorities on tax-related matters • Provide strategic tax planning advice to optimize the organization's tax position • Deliver tax strategies and recommendations to management • Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements • Direct outsourced partners preparing and filing corporate income, sales, and property tax returns • Review audit requests and provide necessary documentation • Conduct comprehensive tax research and monitor industry-specific tax developments • Assess tax implications of new business initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, and other significant transactions • Gather financial information for tax filings with internal and external stakeholders • Implement and monitor internal controls, assess tax-related risks, and recommend mitigation measures • Review opportunities to insource functions currently performed by external partners and build a team as applicable • Provide guidance and training on tax-related processes and policies

🎯 Requirements

• 5 yrs + of corporate tax experience • Experience managing a national footprint for sales and use tax, gross receipts and property tax returns • Experience supporting and managing the tax calculations for audits and corporate tax filings for a large entity • Experience managing the tax components of the external audit • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
