📋 Description

• Define and drive the technical architecture and engineering roadmap for application platforms • Design and implement cloud-native platform solutions for enterprise-scale claims data ingestion, transformation, storage, governance, and consumption • Provide technical leadership for data streaming and event-driven architectures using Kafka, CDC, and cloud-native messaging patterns • Lead design and optimization of data lake and transformation solutions using AWS S3, AWS Glue, Spark, and related services • Establish engineering standards for application development, API design, microservices, cloud infrastructure, data modeling, security, and platform reliability • Guide development of secure, scalable APIs and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS-native services • Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, and Business stakeholders • Drive platform availability, resiliency, observability, performance, scalability, disaster recovery, and production support strategies • Conduct architecture reviews, design reviews, and technical risk assessments • Mentor and develop engineering talent across Technology Platform Engineering and Software Engineering teams

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of software design and development experience in enterprise data platform applications • Experience with cloud-native architectures and Agile development methodologies • 5+ years of experience with public cloud platforms and cloud-native solutions • 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting data streaming, data processing, and/or data transformation solutions • 3+ years of experience with relational and non-relational databases, including Amazon Aurora, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, or Microsoft SQL Server • Ability to design scalable schemas, data models, and storage strategies • 2+ years of experience in production operations support and observability platform tools • Experience with AWS S3, AWS Glue, Spark, Aurora PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, CDC, microservices, APIs, and cloud-native architecture patterns • Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, reliability engineering, and operational best practices • Working knowledge of healthcare data domains and HIPAA, PHI, and healthcare regulatory requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience • Ability to lead complex technical initiatives and influence architectural decisions • Excellent collaboration, communication, leadership, and mentoring skills
