📋 Description

• Set the vision and roadmap for Field Engineering capability • Own and evolve readiness experiences across skills verification, technical demonstrations, role-based pathways, credentials, and practical application • Design, prototype, test, and scale new ways for Field Engineers to build and prove expertise • Define credible capability standards and embed development and validation into Field Engineering workflows • Adapt capability models and programs for an AI-enabled future • Partner with platform and engineering teams to create scalable systems and make skills, evidence, milestones, and recommendations visible • Establish governance, ownership, quality standards, content and assessment lifecycles, and feedback loops • Drive adoption through stakeholder planning, manager engagement, field feedback, and adoption data • Define measures of participation, proficiency, capability coverage, readiness, and emerging gaps • Connect demonstrated capability to development, specialization, succession planning, and career progression • Build a shared point of view, roadmap, high-value readiness experiences, cross-functional partnerships, scalable operating model, and measurable outcomes in the first year

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in technical enablement, product management, learning and development, consulting, field engineering, or program leadership within a high-growth technology company • Track record of building and scaling something new from ambiguity, including shaping strategy, aligning stakeholders, designing, launching, measuring, and improving it • Strong strategic judgment and executive presence • Ability to partner with Directors and VPs, shape priorities, make tradeoffs, challenge assumptions constructively, and turn vision into decisions • Product mindset focused on users, problems, adoption, testing assumptions, and continuous improvement • Ability to balance rigor with practicality and create credible standards without unnecessary friction • Strong data fluency, including defining measures, interpreting dashboards, identifying patterns, and using data and field feedback • Experience partnering with internal product, engineering, or platform teams to create scalable tools and workflows • Genuine curiosity about AI and its impact on technical work, customer engagement, and organizational capability • Technical fluency in data and AI, or curiosity and learning agility to build it quickly • Excellent communication skills across technical practitioners, SME communities, enablement teams, regional leaders, and executives • Strong ownership mindset and ability to operate in a distributed, cross-functional environment • Nice to have: skills taxonomies, competency frameworks, technical certifications, assessment models, role-based capability systems, community-driven expertise models, learning science, adult learning, assessment design, capability-platform integrations, enterprise software enablement, or customer-facing technical experience • If access to export-controlled technology or source code is required, employment may depend on the employer's discretion regarding a U.S. government license
