📋 Description

• Own key components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP • Support the Director of Accounting in analyzing results and identifying variances • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger across Daymark's entities • Support cash, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes, including reviewing and approving transactions as needed • Assist with designing, documenting, and improving accounting policies, processes, and internal controls • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation and responding to auditor requests • Partner with Operations, Clinical, and People teams on accurate accounting treatment • Contribute to ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and special projects

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger accounting and month-end close • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to apply it accurately to real-world transactions • Detail-oriented and organized; able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Analytical and process-minded; able to identify the reasons behind financial results and improve processes • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills • Comfortable working in accounting systems and Google Suite/Microsoft Office • Ability to learn new tools quickly • Comfort with ambiguity and building processes in a growing startup
