📋 Description

• Support clients in managing complex Environmental, Health, and Safety risks through senior-level expertise, program leadership, and strategic advisory support • Drive system-level improvement to protect workers, safeguard environmental resources, and strengthen client safety cultures • Provide day-to-day leadership and management of DEKRA’s proprietary Safety products and services • Serve as a subject matter expert in Health and Safety regulations, standards, and industry best practices • Translate regulatory obligations into scalable programs, procedures, and governance models • Design, implement, and mature electrical safety, hazardous energy control, industrial hygiene, occupational health, environmental management, behavior-based safety, job safety analysis, risk assessment, contractor safety, and exposure monitoring programs • Develop EHS policies, standards, procedures, and performance metrics • Support EHS risk evaluations during mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures • Conduct safety and environmental culture assessments and improvement planning • Develop and use leading indicators and performance dashboards • Coach executive and operational leaders on EHS risk and accountability • Perform root cause analysis of incidents and near misses, including health, safety, and environmental contributors • Support integrated management systems such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 • Prepare and deliver decision-ready insights for client leadership teams • Provide high-quality client service in support of DEKRA’s EHS solutions and systems • Assess, audit, and review client programs and operations; identify gaps and recommend practical improvements • Prepare and present reports, findings, and recommendations to client safety, environmental, and leadership teams • Support business development through technical input, scoping, and proposal support • Contribute to thought leadership, training, and client presentations • Contribute to AI-enabled consulting approaches that improve EHS program effectiveness, insight generation, and client value • Report to the HSE Consulting Manager • Supervise no other employees

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in EHS, industrial hygiene, environmental studies, engineering, or a related technical discipline • 10+ years of EHS experience in consulting, industry, or regulatory environments • Demonstrated leadership in program development, governance, or enterprise-level risk management • Working knowledge of U.S. EHS regulatory frameworks, including OSHA General Industry and Construction Standards (29 CFR 1910 / 1926), Injury & Illness Recordkeeping (29 CFR 1904), DOT Hazmat Regulations (49 CFR Parts 100–185), ANSI B11.0, emergency planning and response requirements, and relevant EPA requirements • Experience designing, implementing, and maturing EHS programs • Strong understanding of electrical safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental risks applied through systems and programmatic controls • Demonstrated ability to operate as a senior advisor • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level reporting • Proven client relationship management and facilitation skills • Strong planning, prioritization, and project management capabilities • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Experience supporting organizational improvement initiatives • Strong workshop facilitation, training, and presentation skills • Comfort operating in a flexible, part-time capacity and adapting to changing client needs • Ability to work in varied client locations and environments, including indoors, outdoors, and on uneven terrain • Ability to work variable shifts as required by client operations • Ability to travel extensively, including prolonged driving and air travel • Capable of lifting 25–50 lbs (luggage) • Extended periods of computer work and standing • Domestic travel required • Visa sponsorship is not available; candidates must be eligible to work in the United States
