📋 Description

• Own weekly AR and AP aging reviews, manage dunning and vendor payment cadences, and maintain cash controls • Deliver weekly cash reporting and review banking fees and idle cash placement • Own federal, state, sales tax, and international filing accuracy and timeliness • Manage equity administration, 409A cadence, grant bookings, cap table reconciliation, and stock compensation expense • Ensure accurate, on-time payroll across payroll/PEO providers and support annual compensation reviews • Own the monthly close, including revenue recognition, expense close, and account reconciliations • Prepare consolidated financial statements and maintain a rolling multi-year forecast • Prepare executive-ready financial reporting and lead budget-vs-actual conversations • Manage deferred revenue and stock compensation accounting • Partner with department leaders on budget-vs-actual reviews and identify tax optimization opportunities • Support Revenue Operations with commission calculations, customer credits, and billing dispute resolution • Oversee and review the Contracted Jr. Accountant's work • Modernize accounting infrastructure, processes, controls, automation, budgeting, sales tax strategy, and expense forecasting

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle month-end close ownership • Experience with multi-state and/or international tax compliance • Familiarity with equity administration platforms such as Carta and stock compensation accounting (ASC 718) • Experience reviewing or managing a junior team member, offshore accountant, or outsourced provider • Strong Excel and financial modeling skills, including forecasts and executive-level reporting • Proficiency with QuickBooks or a similar general ledger system • Experience with modern fintech tools such as Brex and payroll/PEO platforms is a plus • Track record of improving or modernizing accounting processes and systems • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving • CPA or active CPA candidacy strongly preferred • Must be eligible for employment in the United States; employer participates in E-Verify
