📋 Description

• Co-lead the technical direction and roadmap for secure and responsible AI Security Products at DoorDash • Partner with Product Engineering, Legal, Security Engineering Platform, Data teams, and cross-functional partners • Build “paved road” proactive security controls directly into AI surfaces for Customer, Merchant, and Dasher products • Build and ship AI Security Products including Hardened Product Agents, AI Guardrails, MCP Gateways, and AI Hardening initiatives • Execute cross-brand AI-enabled vulnerability discovery, multi-level harnesses, and automated remediation • Embed with product teams to design, build, and deploy security controls • Develop reusable “paved road” solutions for secure-by-default AI products • Translate security and regulatory requirements into practical engineering controls • Mentor and coach earlier-career engineers • Set and enforce standards for Operational Excellence and Software Engineering • Lead Security Product Engineering across core engineering and product teams toward security-preserving control outcomes • Report directly to the Manager of the Proactive Security Engineering team

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a Security Product Engineer at an Internet-scale organization, with demonstrated technical leadership building outcomes at global scale • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Security Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience • Demonstrated technical leadership in scalable, AI-enabled and ergonomic Security Review threat modeling • Hands-on experience securing LLM or agentic systems, or adjacent depth in authorization, sandboxing, or untrusted input handling • Experience building in one or more object-oriented languages, such as Go or Java • Experience designing technical Security Engineering controls and processes to meet business and regulatory requirements • Exceptional problem-solving abilities for complex systemic issues • Exceptional analytical and investigative abilities • Hands-on experience leading root cause analysis for security incidents • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
