• Coordinate revenue cycle activities including charge capture, coding, charge entry, insurance follow-up, reimbursement analysis, scheduling, registration, check-in, and collections • Develop and use reports to track financial and operational performance across the revenue cycle • Review and recommend charge master and charge capture document updates to maximize reimbursement and support accurate billing • Identify revenue cycle problems, analyze data, select alternatives, and implement improvement solutions • Educate and train providers and staff on coding, charge capture, payer requirements, and revenue cycle issues • Serve as liaison among PRMO, DUHS, Duke Health Integrated Practice, clinical and administrative leadership, Maestro Care teams, and third-party payers • Design, redesign, test, validate, and maintain Maestro Care clinical and business workflows and application functionality related to charge capture and billing • Manage revenue cycle inquiries, ServiceNow tickets, charge review, claim edits, follow-up work queues, and charge corrections • Monitor key performance indicators, denial rates, write-offs, deleted charges, reimbursement, and scheduling-to-collections metrics • Research payer regulations and coordinate implementation of changing authorization, billing, claims, and LCD requirements • Lead revenue cycle collaboration, strategic planning, workgroups, meetings, communications, and training activities • Manage revenue enhancement and compliance projects, action plans, timelines, root-cause analyses, and cross-functional resources • Coordinate system setup and modifications for new services, including master files, charge codes, charge capture methods, charge router logic, claim logic, and post-go-live validation • Lead multidisciplinary teams in developing sustainable solutions to revenue cycle problems
• Bachelor’s degree required • At least 6+ years of relevant healthcare experience required, preferably in Charge Integrity/Revenue Management • Strong leadership capabilities and demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and collaborate with hospital leadership • Strong oral and written communication skills • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently • Ability to work on a flexible schedule • Strong research and documentation skills • Ability to work independently • Intermediate to expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Word, Visio, and Outlook • Coding certification such as CCS, CPC, RHIA, or RHIT preferred • HFMA CHFP preferred • CRCR preferred • BSN RN preferred
